Illustrations add excitement and character to your book. Simple,
small illustrations added to the chapter page enhance the style and layout. Full
page illustrations of fictional characters give the reader a sense of familiarity
that lends credibility to your character development. Maps and drawings can be
used to support your story line and lead the reader through the world you have
created.
We work closely with you to find out what type and style of illustrations
will best suit your book. With fictional work we look for scenes that have movement
and elements that will create an exciting composition for illustration. We will
ask you what your characters look like, what emotions should be captured, or what
backdrops are appropriate.

Fiction
& Children's Book Illustration
|
| Illustrating fiction and children's books
requires an illustrator who will get to know your characters. We read your story
closely to find out how your characters, places, buildings, landscape, and other
elements are described throughout your story to add credibility to your illustrations.
We will work with you, the author, to story board what scenes or characters you
would like illustrated. The elements in the scene of the illustration are carefully
composed to add drama and emotion. Illustrations in books for very young readers
need to be carefully crafted to match the story and give the child a clear "picture"
of what the story is telling. The illustrations are an important part of the book
to a child who is too young to read. Creating illustrations that a child can relate
to, that are fun and entertaining will hold their attention and make the book
a favorite for reading time. |

Technical
Illustrations
|
 |
Technical illustrations can be used
in manuals, self-help books, fiction and nonfiction books to help support information.
Step-by-step illustrations of projects in crafts books, demonstration illustrations
in exercise books, and graphs and charts in diet books are a few of the different
types of technical illustrations.
We work closely with you to make sure your illustrations are both accurate and
easy to understand. |

Fiction,
Nonfiction and Historical Maps
|
|
Maps are an important part of many types of books. Maps give the
reader a better sense of where the story took place. Stories with a lot of travel
are especially enhanced by maps that give departure and destination points, important
landmarks, and routes traveled.
We can create fictional maps based upon places and events in your
story line. The style of the map can be created to compliment the style of the
story to lend credibility.
Maps of real places are created to be accurate in proportion,
with names and places checked to provide accurate information. Maps can be created
in different styles to compliment the subject of the book.

Charts
and Graphs
|
|
Business related books, technical papers, and manuals can be greatly
enhanced with graphs and charts by conveying information to the reader in clear,
simple, and easy to understand terms.
Information pertaining to economics and sociology are excellent
candidates for using graphs and charts. They help break up large sections of technical
information and give the reader a synopsis of the information in an easy to understand
form.
Everyone is familiar with the usual pie charts and linear graphs,
but they can also be offered in much more fun and enjoyable formats. For instance,
if you are referring to how many cups of coffee consumers purchase in an average
month, why not use coffee cups to represent the quantities?
